Indigenous excursion blog post

On Tuesday the 27th  April, the year 4 classes went to the  Cranbourne gardens.

It was extremely interesting learning about the indigenous People and the plants.

My class learnt about indigenous tools And how they were used I liked touching the boomerangs. There were two;  one had a Long point  on one side and a small side. The other boomerang was a normal looking one but it did not come back. There was also a digging tool I thought it looked like a peanut Shell. We got to touch lots of thing I enjoyed touching the possum skin the people at the garden told us that it was the 3rd most warm skin in the world before it was the arctic fox and the polar bears.

We went to the food garden and there was a plant called a lemon myrtle it smelled like lemons. We saw a endangered bandicoot It was super cute  there was also a big statue of a bandicoot. There was a tree it had red things on them and they were used to make Rezone. I got to go to the peppermint garden. There was also a big tree it had water in the bottom of it and if you put your ear next to it you can hear the water.

We got to use minerals To paint the rock wall some kids also put it on their face. I did that. Some people also painted Aboriginal Art stories.

I got to learn about the country’s and I learnt about Wa the crow and Bunjil the eagle who created the land and the people. We also learnt about what the flag means- the black Area represents the people, the red area is the land and the yellow part is the sun.

Thank you for reading my blog and did you know about these facts?       ?
